THURSDAY, JUNE 3

Pirates and Princesses Cruise

The Belle of Louisville is hosting a 90 minute cruise for your little pirates and princesses. Tickets are only $10 each and their concession stand will be open. While this is ideal for ages 10 and younger, families are encouraged to dress up and all enjoy! There will be activities, games and music! 

Muhammad Ali Festival

Starting Thursday, June 3 through Sunday, June 13, The Ali Center, located at 144 N 6th St, Louisville, KY 40202, will be open from noon – 5 pm. The annual Ali Festival is a celebration that marks the anniversary of Muhammad Ali’s passing and celebrates his impactful legacy and love for Louisville. The 2021 Muhammad Ali Festival is crafted to provide inspiration, entertainment, education, and activation through events that generate a sense of unity, justice, and a rebirth of Muhammad Ali’s hometown of Louisville. 

FRIDAY, JUNE 4

The Crashers at Riverstage

If you haven’t checked out the Jeffersonville Riverstage on the right on the river, near the Big Four Bridge, you’ll be in for a treat! The Crashers are performing live music for all ages on Friday, June 4. The lawn opens at 6 pm with performances starting at 7 pm. Bring your chairs, blankets and dancing shoes! This is a FREE event with free parking all around the area!

SATURDAY, JUNE 5

La Grange Artsfest 2021

Head down to this fun festival of art, crafts, vintage finds, live music and local food and drinks from 9 am to 5 pm in the Main Street La Grange District. This event is free and certainly family friendly!

Seussical

Derby Dinner Playhouse located at 525 Marriott Dr, Clarksville, IN 47129, is running Seussical, when Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable, fantastical, musical caper on June 5, June 12, June 14, June 19 and June 26 with breakfast at 9 am and the show at 10 am on each day, lunch at noon and the show at 1:15 pm and dinner at 5:45 pm and the show at 7 pm. *June 14 will only have their dinner show.* Breakfast tickets are $17 each and lunch and dinner tickets are $22 each. Check out all the other shows they have running in June as well! 

SUNDAY, JUNE 6

Family Fun Fishing Day

Head to The Falls of the Ohio State Park and Foundation, located at 201 W Riverside Dr, Clarksville, IN 47129, from 10 am – 2 pm for the free event has many hands-on activities and opportunities to talk to experts on fishing rules and tips.  There will be photo ops, free fishing and more. Parking in the main lot is $2 per car. 

SATURDAY, JUNE 12

Back in Time Car Show

Cruise on in to Joe Huber’s Family Farm & Restaurant at 2421 Engle Rd, Starlight, IN 47106 with your car aficionados, big and little from 10 am to 4 pm. Getting into Huber’s is free, but a $10 donation per car will go toward the NA Cops for Kids Program. Get in on the 50/50 raffle, door prizes & $100 cash drawings every hour for participants from 12 pm – 4 pm!

Louisville VIP Princess Party

Grab your tiaras and gowns, or have your littles, and enjoy stories, songs, games, portraits and more with all your Princess Friends! From 9 am – 4:30 pm, each hour and a half time slot will be capped to ensure time with the princesses, portraits, autographs and pixie wishes! This grand event will take place at the Kentucky International Convention Center at 221 S 4th St, Louisville, KY 40202, with tickets running between $25 and $35.

NuLu Sidewalk Sashay

Come support some of your favorite local businesses as they set up on the sidewalks of NuLu around the 800 E Market area with amazing finds and we heard some even have prizes to give out. This event is free from 11 am to 9 pm with plenty of shopping and eating to be done! Don’t miss the live music by Trombone Alli!

The Flea Off Market

June 12 and June 13 from 11 am – 5 pm each day, this free event will be at the Big Lot at 1000 E. Market St. in NuLu near Fresh Start Growers’ Supply. Shop, enjoy the delicious food trucks, live music and tons of fun with an incredible variety of vendors! Bonus: they have added more June dates, including June 26 and June 27! 

Louisville Xtreme Football’s Superhero/Youth Night for Autism Awareness

Join the fun during this inaugural Louisville Xtreme football season at the KFC Yum! Center located at 1 Arena Plaza, Louisville, KY 40202 as they play the Green Bay Blizzards on a field half as long and half as wide as a traditional football field. This definitely calls for more action! The game starts at 7:05 pm with tickets ranging from $18 to $116. 

THURSDAY, JUNE 17

Super Heroes Cruise

Bring your little super heroes out for a scenic cruise along the Ohio River on The Belle of Louisville, with games, activities and music. All are encouraged to dress up for this 90 minute cruise at $10 per person from 1-2:30 pm. The concessions will be open for food and drinks! 

SATURDAY, JUNE 19

Paristown Flea

Paristown, Imagine a Place is truly magical! The third Saturday of every month through October you can peruse and purchase flea market finds and more from over 100 vendors! This event is free to get into from 9 am to 6 pm at 714 Brent St, Louisville, KY 40204. Enjoy countless options of libations and food, stacked with food trucks and live music! This is a family and pet friendly event!

Children in the Dell

The dreamy Yew Dell Botanical Gardens, located at 6220 Old La Grange Rd, Crestwood, KY 40014, is hosting their summer drop-in activity series geared for families to enjoy together, starting on Saturday, June 19, and continuing each Saturday through August 7. Stop by the Log Cabin from 10:30am to Noon each week for different activities focused in and around Yew Dell’s Family Garden. This is free to members, $9 ages 18-54, $5 ages 6-17 and 55+ and free to children 5 and younger. ALSO HAPPENING ON JUNE 26. 

ALSO IN JUNE

The Beechmont Summer Concert Series will be held every Saturday through the end of June from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at the Gazebo at W Woodlawn Ave and Southern Parkway, 4700 Southern Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40214. The event is a free, outdoor musical experience with artists/bands from the Louisville Federation of Musicians. 

The Muhammad Ali Center Center is seeking student artists to join in celebrating the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali for their annual ALI WEEK Festival. The Ali Center is calling students from grades K-12 to channel their inner Ali by submitting poetry or an art piece based on specific Ali-related themes. The submission deadline is June 13.  

Visit Lynn Family Stadium to cheer on Louisville City FC, Louisville’s men’s professional soccer team, at one of their home games, including Saturday, June 12 at 7:30 pm vs Memphis 901 FC, Wednesday, June 16 at 7:30 pm vs Birmingham Legion and Saturday, June 26 at 7:30 pm vs Indy Eleven. Enjoy Louisville’s women’s professional soccer team, Racing Louisville FC, for a home game at Lynn Family Stadium, including Sunday, June 20 at 3 pm vs Houston Dash and Wednesday, June 23 at 7:30 pm vs North Carolina Courage. You can find tickets here. 

There are twelve home Louisville Bats games with tons of baseball fun and specialty nights, including a couple of Friday Family Four Packs and some Kids Eat Free nights for kids 12 and under where each kid gets one free kids meal! For more promotions, click here. Click here for tickets.

Bernheim Forest in Clermont, KY is an excellent place to go explore with your family, get some exercise, take memorable pictures and enjoy nature. Come out from 7 am to 8 pm, daily, with a suggested donation of $10 per car. If you haven’t seen the Forest Giants, you are in for a treat, as well as other events they have going on.

Farmers Markets

Don’t forget to visit all the free to enter, local farmers markets. There are too many to name, but here are some to get you started:

The St. Matthews Farmers Market at 4100 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40207 is from 8 am – noon every Saturday. 

The Douglass Loop Farmers Market at 2005 Douglass Blvd, Louisville, KY 40205 is from 10 am – 2 pm every Saturday. 

The Jeffersonville Farmers Market at Big Four Station is starting back up June 5, every Saturday through October from 9 am – noon. 

The Westport Road Baptist Farmers Market at 9705 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY 40241 is every Saturday from 9 am – 1 pm. 

The East End Farmers Market at 13060 Factory Lane. Louisville, KY 40245 is every Tuesday from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm and every Saturday from 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm. 

The Norton Commons Farmers Market is every Sunday from noon – 4 pm, and don’t miss out on their weekly Food Truck Fridays!
