LFS Family Film Night Series – Goonies

Join Louisville Film Society and Mellwood Art Center for the Fall Family Film Night Series! Ticket reservations will become available starting noon, Friday, October 30th. Bring blankets (it may be a very cool night) and chairs, snacks or a picnic. Veteran’s Day at Louisville Zoo

To honor those who are serving and who have served our country in military service, the Louisville Zoo is offering active and retired military and their dependents FREE general admission on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020. 10%* off gift shop purchases (*certain exceptions may apply). 50% off food and drink concessions. Those wishing to participate must simply have proof of military service. T-Mobile will be on Zoo grounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with giveaways.

Night Sky Stargazing

Learn how the three wise men and ships from days gone by used the stars to chart their course. You will learn how to read the night sky without the use of a telescope and learn other sky watching tips. Hot beverages and cookies will be provided.

Winter Illuminations is an illuminated trail walk. Designed to be Louisville’s premiere winter tradition, the one-mile trail features more than 10 light installations harmonizing light, music and nature. We invite you to bring your family and friends to experience the magic of  this one of a kind illuminated trail.

Throo the Zoo 5K

This 27th annual 5K is a fun-filled journey Throo the Zoo. The course will take you on a journey throughout the grounds of the Louisville Zoo. The day will start off with a 5K with awards and prizes. All participants receive a free cotton t-shirt, commemorative finishers medal, post-race refreshment and refueling options, and free race day parking as well as admission to the Zoo. After the 5K is over, all registered participants can spend the rest of the day seeing the Zoo at a much slower pace with their complimentary pass.

Monthly Art Bazaar

The monthly Art Bazaar is specifically geared to introduce and support our local artists and craftsmen; this is just as much of a showcase as it is a pop-up art market! Logan Street Market has everything from 8+ local restaurants, shopping, a coffee shop, the Bodega, to an incredible happy hour (3-6) at both bars- the only thing we’re missing is art! The last Friday of every month is now set aside to bring you an evening full of music, art, and dinner all in the heart of delightful Shelby Park!
