Choosing the right preschool for your family can be a daunting task, but if there is one thing we learned while putting together this guide, it’s that we are incredibly fortunate to have so many wonderful options to choose from in Louisville and the surrounding areas!
Do you have a favorite school that is not on our list? Please tell us about them! Email us at [email protected] and we would love to reach out to them!
Francis Parker School of Louisville

Francis Parker School of Louisville is a secular Preschool 2s – 12th grade Independent School dedicated to critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, where students learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think. In the Preschool, on a 64-acre campus, a nurturing learning community helps maximize the full and unique potential of each child. Their curriculum is based on the idea that “everything is developing,” therefore the focus is on the process of learning rather than the product of learning.
Through play and hands-on, minds-on activity, preschoolers learn about the world beyond themselves and the importance of working together. They become critical thinkers when they investigate, problem-solve, explore, and discover in the natural playground and open classroom settings. Their highly talented and skilled faculty craft experiences that build confidence, resilience, independence, compassion, cooperative social skills, and conflict resolution strategies in a joyful environment.
