Easy Medicine Cup Crafts

easy medicine cup craftsWe live in one of the worst seasonal allergy locations, so my whole family takes daily allergy medicine. All the bottles come with easy measuring cups, so I have a plethora of them. I try to reuse most plastic items unless they are recyclable. I figured we could find some activities for them or crafts. Here are some easy medicine cup crafts I found that I had never thought of –

Door Wreath – There were no instructions, so I would assume the middle is reinforced with a ring shape to keep the cups together and form the shape. I would find a ring shape at a craft store (or make one) to glue all the cups to and add a ribbon to hang. This is actually a really cute idea and looks great while being simple.

Handheld Game – Great way to test those hand-eye coordination skills! All you need is a tongue depressor, string, cotton ball, and measuring cup! Then, you just use it like you would a regular handheld game you’d buy at the store. This one looks like a lot of fun and like it would add a degree of friendly competition for my active boys!

Jellyfish I found the idea and instructions on Kix Cereal’s website! Popular crafter and author, Amanda Formaro, came up with the idea, and the jellyfish are not only adorable and a good project to do with the kids, they are also perfect to hang as a decoration in your kids’ rooms or for a party!

Pom Pom Milkshakes – How cute are these, especially for a snowy day activity?! All you need are cups, pom poms, straws, and “sprinkles”! These make a fun decoration for birthday parties and look so delicious, you’ll have to stop the kids and guests from trying to eat them!

Pumpkin Make a cute little pumpkin all Fall long! They are super sweet as a decoration for Fall and Thanksgiving in general, but add a jack-o-lantern face, and they’re great for Halloween decorations also!

Candy Reindeer Ornament Perfect for handmade ornament gifts during the holiday season!

Stacking – My boys love to see how many they can stack before it collapses. I would also say you could do speed stacking like the competition, just on a smaller scale.

10 Activities This article I found has ideas for 10 ways to reuse medicine cups for play. They’re excellent, easy rainy day activities or for the long winter when you’re stuck inside more often!
