Mama, It’s Time to Unwind!!

Let’s talk about taking some time for you! When we, as moms, fill our cups; we are happier and able to give more to the people around us.

Here are my top fab five tips to unwind!!

Get up before your kids!

Get up 30 minutes to an hour before the kids. Take some time to get quiet and centered for your day. Read a devotion, drink some water, move your body by doing yoga or another excerise. This will open your mind, get your blood flowing, and give you more energy and clarity.

Eat Your Breakfast.

If eating breakfast is a challenge, make some overnight oats before bed to have for the next day. Make a smoothie or protein shake. Have some yummy fruit and yogurt ready to go. A lot of times, we think of these things for our kids, but we do not think of it for ourselves.

Plan Out Your Day.

Be intentional with what you want to accomplish for the day and plan it!! A goal is just a dream without a plan. Think about what type of mom you want to be today and then show up as her!! This is more than a to-do list, but more so about how do you want to feel as well. What are your priorities? What do you value the most? This will determine where you dedicate the most time.

Spend time with girlfriends.

Take time to laugh and be around others that make you feel inspired, encouraged, and loved. This will make life more full. It also makes you better for those around you.

Take time to just be.

So many times, moms go, go, go. Do the laundry, drop the kids off here, do the dishes, grab the groceries, etc. The list can go on and on. We do not take time to to enjoy the moments we are in right now. Day by day nothing seems to change, but when you look back, everything is different. Don’t miss the treasures of today because, Mama, it’s time to unwind!
