Fall Fest Live Life

3rd Annual Cranksgiving

“Cranksgiving is a free food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride and part food drive that’s has been held annually nationally since 1999. Riders of all ages and skill levels receive a map of nearby grocery stores and ride their bikes – regardless of weather — to designated stores to purchase one or more food items specified on list. Everything purchased must be hauled by bicycle, either in a bag, pannier, rack, or trailer. You will return to start to donate the food you collected to benefit Dare to Care Food Bank’s food pantry at Catholic Enrichment Center which is part of their Produce, Pantry, and Commodities Programs. Be prepared to spend about $15 (or however much you can) and ride between .5-6 miles.”

Moon Light Hike

Veteran’s Day 2022

“To honor those who are serving and who have served our country in military service, the Louisville Zoo is offering active and retired military and their dependents FREE general admission on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Those wishing to participate must simply have proof of military service (including but not limited to: U.S Uniformed Services ID Card, U.S. Uniformed Services Retired ID Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (i.e., American Legion, VFW), photograph of yourself in uniform, wearing uniform, DD214 and citation or commendation) and present it at the Zoo’s admission windows.
